Colds and Computers November 5, 2010 by Jodi Granok - Organizing Magic, LLC
Hello Readers,
This week was
very busy for me. I continued to actively pursue speaking engagements
for the 2011 year. I spent time preparing for 3 organizing
presentations this weekend. I also gathered information for an upcoming
NAPO-St. Louis meeting next Monday.
Yesterday,
I woke up - and proceeded to sneeze at least a dozen times. After my
sneezing attack, I discovered I was in the middle of a full-blown head
cold. "Terrific", I thought. "I have a huge weekend coming up. I
don't have time to be sick!"
I stumbled to my computer to begin
preparing for a busy work day, when ... let's just say, another
sneezing attack was the catalyst for me to drop my computer onto the
hardwood floor.
It would have been easy for me to take my sneezy
self back to bed and sleep until tomorrow. Instead, I fought through
the day and learned some valuable lessons that I want to share with you:
1) SwifTechs is a great computer repair shop in University City. They have always taken good care of me, and I highly recommend their work.
2) Having an iTouch or an iPhone is a huge blessing when you don't have computer access but do have access to Wi-Fi.
3) Carbonite
is worth every penny - for peace of mind alone. Although losing access
to my computer was frustrating, I was never worried about losing my
files.
4) Zicam is a wonderful product. It knocks a cold right out of you, way faster than chicken soup and orange juice alone.
Have a great weekend everyone!
